The ¾«¶«´«Ã½Office for Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach Services (ODLOS) Blog highlights the work of library and information science workers as they create safe, responsible, and all-inclusive spaces that serve and represent the entire community, as well as initiatives and projects supported by the office that promotes their work.

Submissions

The Office for Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach Services invites content from members, ¾«¶«´«Ã½units, and library service providers highlighting resources and model practices in diversity, literacy, and outreach services. Articles are typically 250-500 words, and can include images, video, or any files or shareable resources to help augment the post.

Diversity & Outreach Columns Blog Archive

From 2001 through 2016, the ¾«¶«´«Ã½Office for Literacy and Outreach Services (OLOS) operated the Diversity & Outreach Columns Blog, formerly known as the OLOS Columns Blog. The Columns Blog highlighted library outreach services, including support for adult new- and non-readers; gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people; incarcerated people and ex-offenders; older adults; people of color; people with disabilities; people experiencing poverty and homelessness; rural, native, and tribal libraries of all kinds; and bookmobile communities.
