We know that cost is one of the biggest factors in determining National Institute attendance; ALSC works hard to keep the price of registration and hotels as low as possible. Registration includes Thursday's Opening General Session dinner and daily breaks on Friday and Saturday.

Registration policies

State of Appropriate Conduct

All attendees, including speakers and exhibitors, are expected to observe the rules and behaviors described in the Statement of Appropriate Conduct in all conference venues, including online venues and conference social events. The statement includes contact information to report incidents of harassment.

Cancellation Policy

National Institute operates on a cost-recovery basis. ALSC reserves the right to cancel National Institute, or any portion thereof, if there is insufficient registration or for other reasons. Neither ¾«¶«´«Ã½nor any of its divisions are responsible for cancellation charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies, or other losses incurred in the cancellation of National Institute.

Attendee Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is limited and must be made in writing, via email, to Sarah Polen, Deputy Director, and ALA's Member and Registration Services no later than August 30, 2024. Cancellations will result in a full refund, less a $50 processing fee. No phone cancellations will be accepted. Refunds will be processed after October 21, 2024. No refunds will be issued after the registration deadline date (9/3/2024) for any reason other than hospitalization or death. Proof of hospitalization and/or funeral services must be included in the refund request.
