Utilizing a methodology that could easily be adapted to other disciplines, Lyons' engaging article offers
an illustrative comparison of the limitations and advantages of the ¾«¶«´«Ã½'s
Annual Conference and the annual conference of the American Political Science Association. She
concludes that neither type of event can be responsibly ignored and offers concrete strategies for resolving the
dilemma that librarians with collection responsibilities often face when choosing between library conferences
and relevant academic conferences.
