Lanza-Galindo withdraws candidacy for 2022-25 ¾«¶«´«Ã½treasurer

CHICAGO — Oscar Lanza-Galindo, associate dean, Library and Learning Commons, Bunker Hill Community College, Boston, has withdrawn his candidacy for treasurer of the ¾«¶«´«Ã½ (ALA).

"It is with a heavy heart that I must officially withdraw my candidacy for ¾«¶«´«Ã½Treasurer. I look forward to continuing to serve ¾«¶«´«Ã½as a Councilor-at-Large, and through the different committees I am currently involved in." said Lanza-Galindo. “I am sincerely grateful to all who have supported my candidacy. I will continue to advocate for and with you in different ¾«¶«´«Ã½channels." Peter Hepburn, head librarian at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California, is the remaining candidate for ¾«¶«´«Ã½treasurer.

Ballot mailing for the ¾«¶«´«Ã½election will begin the second Monday in March on March 14, 2022 and will run through the first Wednesday in April on April 6, 2022. Individuals must be members in good standing to vote in the 2022 ¾«¶«´«Ã½elections. or by calling 1-800-545-2433, option 1.
