CHICAGO — now to be heard. ALA’s Virtual Membership Meeting () – May 17, 2018.

Members who participate in ALA’s gain an opportunity to share ideas and opinions about ALA's strategic directions and priorities. “We want to hear what our members have to say,” said ¾«¶«´«Ã½President Jim Neal. “VMM18 is a terrific opportunity for members to connect, contribute, and engage with their professional association, its leaders, and their own colleagues. ¾«¶«´«Ã½wants to know the issues members care about — and how we can be of service.”

VMM18 will cover topics related to ALA’s key initiatives and finances, the work of its Washington, D.C. Office, and provide participants the opportunity to discuss items of interest and to identify colleagues from across the country with whom they have worked, went to school, met at conferences, or just not seen in several years.

takes place on Thursday, May 17, from 1:30–2:30 p.m. (Central). Live captioning is provided so all registrants can participate. Often library coworkers get together in small groups at their workplaces to share the VMM experience. The meeting concludes promptly at 2:30 p.m. (Central). The text-chat session will remain open for an additional 15 minutes to allow participants to wrap up conversations.

See the ¾«¶«´«Ã½ for more detailed information.
