Office for Diversity accepting nominations for Achievement in Library Diversity Research

CHICAGO — As part of its ongoing support of the propagation of library-based diversity research, the ¾«¶«´«Ã½Office for Diversity is seeking nominations for the 2014 Achievement in Library Diversity Research.

The Achievement in Library Diversity Research recognizes ¾«¶«´«Ã½members for their contributions to the profession through research on diversity issues within library and information science.

Nominations may be submitted to diversity@ala.org and should include the name of the individual nominated, contact information for that person and a short description of their diversity research accomplishments. Self-nominations are accepted.

Nominations will be evaluated by a jury of ¾«¶«´«Ã½members appointed by the Diversity Research Grants Advisory Committee and will focus on nominees’ publications and research, service to the profession and professional achievement.

The selected individual will be honored by the ¾«¶«´«Ã½Council Committee on Diversity, the Diversity Research Grants Advisory Committee and the ¾«¶«´«Ã½Office for Diversity at the Diversity Research Grants Update during the 2015 Midwinter Meeting.
