Core Seeks Library Building Awards Jurors

Core is seeking jurors for the 2023 ALA/AIA Library Buildings Awards competition. Jointly sponsored by the (ALA) and the (AIA), the prestigious competition recognizes excellence in the architectural design and planning of libraries. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2022.





The ALA/AIA Awards for Library Buildings & Interiors Committee will select a diverse set of jurors based on type of library, geographic area, experiences with building projects, and previous jury experience. Core strongly encourages members from underrepresented groups to apply for the jury. Applicants are required to be ALA/Core members.

The jury consists of three librarians selected by ¾«¶«´«Ã½and three architects selected by AIA. Selected jurors will be notified in November and the review of submitted projects will begin in early 2023. Projects presented in the jurying process are disqualified from consideration if any of the jurors served as a consultant or architect for the project, or is in any way affiliated with the project.

The ALA/AIA Library Building Awards will be presented at the in Chicago, IL. All jury work will be done virtually, and there is no requirement to meet in person or attend the ¾«¶«´«Ã½Annual Conference.
