New Banned Books Week materials and more debut in spring/summer ýGraphics catalog

CHICAGO – The Spring/Summer 2022 delivers a range of exciting posters and bookmarks to inspire and encourage readers of all ages. The cover displays the new Banned Books Week which offers the important and timely message that “Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us.” The new materials, developed by the Office for Intellectual Freedom, feature a , a bookmark listing the , , and . Additional items, including the Field Report 2021, will be available in the coming months.

ýGraphics is also pleased to offer new Library Card Sign-up Month materials with the theme “Find Your Voice at the Library.” The and feature art inspired by Cara Mentzel and Idina Menzel’s forthcoming picture book, “Loud Mouse,” illustrated by Jaclyn Sinquett. “Loud Mouse” authors (and sisters) Cara and Idina will also serve as honorary chairs of Library Card Signup Month 2022 this September.

A new Copyright and have been added to Graphics’ line of informational posters and bookmarks. Authored by copyright expert Carrie Russell, these new materials will help library users understand the importance of copyright, copyright infringement, and fair use. Acting as tools to foster good copyright practices, the materials also direct readers to additional sources of information. Russell served as the copyright specialist for the Public Policy and Advocacy Office of the ý for 22 years.

The Spring/Summer 2022 catalog also guides readers to ýGraphics’ ancillary gift shop at . New designs from the , , and have recently been added. New designs are frequently added to the gift shop.
