Core ¾«¶«´«Ã½Preconference: Evidence-based Practice in Libraries

¾«¶«´«Ã½

CHICAGO—As academic libraries struggle with budget, staffing, and morale issues, evidence-based practice (EBP) becomes more and more important in our efforts to increase the impact and efficiency of our work. EBP helps us make decisions and solve problems, and can be an effective way to improve day-to-day processes and services, as well as advocate for change on a larger scale. On Friday, June 24, 8:00 am to noon, Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures will present the preconference "Evidence-based Practice in Libraries" at the 2022 ¾«¶«´«Ã½Annual Conference & Exhibition in Washington, DC. This workshop aims to provide participants with an understanding of evidence-based practice in our field and how it can be applied in a variety of library and information contexts. Participants will learn about the EBP model, examine different types of evidence, and apply EBP principles to issues in their own institutional contexts.
