Register now for ¾«¶«´«Ã½Connect Live session focusing on sustainability and climate action for libraries and communities

CHICAGO — This month's ¾«¶«´«Ã½Connect Live session is one you won't want to miss. It will showcase what library champions are doing to help their communities address climate change.

Register now for this important discussion, which takes place at 11 a.m. Pacific time/ 1 p.m. Central time on Thursday, Feb. 24.

¾«¶«´«Ã½ (ALA) President Patty Wong will be joined by Uta Hussong-Christian, an associate professor and science librarian at Oregon State University and past chair of the ALA’s Sustainability Round Table, and Michele Stricker, deputy state librarian for the New Jersey State Library, for an engaging conversation moderated by Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, executive director, Mid-Hudson Library System.

Following the discussion, the audience can participate in a question-and-answer session.

After the Q&A, President Wong will also address the severe uptick in local and statewide censorship challenges and highlight key resources to assist library workers and library advocates in responding to and supporting others facing challenges.
