CHICAGO - Individuals who were not selected by the ¾«¶«´«Ã½Nominating Committee may run for office by petition. Members who are interested in running by petition may do so by completing an e-petition form:

1. with the signatures of no fewer than 200 ¾«¶«´«Ã½current personal members.
2. with the signatures of no fewer than 25 ¾«¶«´«Ã½current personal members.

In addition to the petition itself, members must . Once the petition process is completed, petition candidates and nominated candidates are treated exactly the same. They are not differentiated on the ballot because they are on equal footing and are all viable candidates for these positions.

The petition period for the 2021 election has been extended because of Covid-19; it will now close on December 31, 2020.

Ballot mailing for the 2021 ¾«¶«´«Ã½election will begin on March 8, 2021, and will run through April 7, 2021. Individuals must be members in good standing in order to vote. Renew your membership or by calling 1-800-545-2433, option 1.
