Core Webinar Helps you Build a Holistic Employee Engagement Framework

This webinar will explore various important aspects of engaging employees. Included will be workforce planning guides; ways to reduce bias and hacking in the job interview; human resources best practices for employee development and onboarding; and holistic talent reviews; and career planning. In addition, participants will participate with polls and brief discussion opportunities throughout the session and will be provided with a handout to help them outline an employee engagement plan for their libraries, regardless of size and type.

Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, and Futures, a new division of ALA, will present the webinar “Building a holistic employee engagement framework,” on Wednesday, December 9, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Central Time.

This webinar will provide a reading list for participants who wish to further explore topics covered.

In this webinar, attendees will learn to:

  • Explore the development of a recruitment strategy and interview process focused on diversity and reducing bias
  • Analyze a plan for onboarding that goes beyond the basics to guide employees through their new organizational culture and structure
  • Outline an employee development program that encompasses opportunities for training and recognition
  • Re-imagine an evaluation process that looks ahead at career planning as a way to continually help employees grow

Who should attend: Library administrators and managers, as well as anyone interested in leading from less formal functional roles in any type of library

Presenter:

Cinthya Ippoliti is the Director of the Auraria Library. She provides direct administrative leadership for library services, spaces, partnerships, and programming on the tri-institutional Auraria Campus which includes the University of Colorado, Denver; Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver and collectively serves approximately 45,000 highly diverse students in an urban setting.
