January Project Outcome webinar focuses on measuring outcomes from library partnerships

CHICAGO – This month, the Public Library Association (PLA) will host a webinar intended to help libraries plan for collaborative outcome measurement when working with partner organizations. This webinar, , will be held 1 – 2 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

This webinar is the first in a series featuring Project Outcome’s Outcome Measurement Guidelines, designed to help guide and provide additional support for outcome-focused data collection. Future topics will outcome measures, implementing alternative data collection methods, and measuring outcomes over time. PLA's is a free online toolkit designed to help public libraries understand and share the impact of their programs and services by providing simple surveys and an easy-to-use process for measuring and analyzing outcomes.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will:

  • Understand Project Outcome's Outcome Measurement Guidelines and how they help support libraries’ data collection efforts;
  • Know the benefits of collaborative partnerships and how other libraries are achieving success; and
  • Be able to apply the process for planning collaborative outcome measurement, including setting outcome-based goals, identifying which outcomes will best measure success and setting expectations for how the data will be used.
