Share your knowledge: Present an AASL webinar

CHICAGO – The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) invites school library professionals, educators and subject matter experts to submit proposals for webinars between 30-60 minutes in length. Live presentations will take place between January 1 and May 31, 2018, and presentations will be archived as part of AASL’s eCOLLAB professional development library. Submissions may be made using the .

Proposals should include up to three learning objectives and should address how the webinar subject matter supports AASL’s mission of empowering leaders to transform teaching and learning.

AASL especially seeks webinars on the following topics:

  • Library service to incarcerated juveniles
  • Serving preschoolers in the school library
  • School library support of English Language Learners
  • Coding, Hour of Code
  • Student data privacy and digital citizenship
  • Reaching reluctant readers
  • Serving students with special needs

All webinar topics will be considered, which may include but is not limited to:

  • Inquiry
  • Emergent technology
  • Community outreach/advocacy
  • Collection development
  • Collaboration/co-teaching
  • Evidence-based practice
  • Project-/Problem-based learning
