CHICAGO – Join the Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF) to learn how to continue awareness of intellectual freedom and the harms of censorship all year long, not just during Banned Books Week in September. “” will take place at 1 p.m. Central time on October 13, 2015.

������ýAdvocacy director, Marci Merola, joins Chapel Hill Public Library Director, Susan Brown, to discuss resources and ideas for staff and administration to keep intellectual freedom relevant in your community. Learn how to get staff and boards motivated and educated, incorporate the right to read in everyday programs and displays and spread that love of reading and freedom to your patrons. You’ll also learn how this strong foundation of advocates can benefit your library in case you’re faced with a book challenge or funding cuts.
