Arthur Curley served as president of the ¾«¶«´«Ã½ in 1994-1995 and was director of the Boston Public Library. He was a champion of the arts and of the library’s role as a center that can transform the community.  The lecture series commemorates his lifelong dedication to the principles of intellectual freedom and free public access to information. Mr. Curley was an ¾«¶«´«Ã½member for more than 30 years.
